Starting from east to the west there are several sub-species. Antlers can vary widely by sub-species and be very difficult to judge so do your homework on the species your going to hunt before you go.

Woodland Caribou: Recognized by Boone and Crocket, Woodland Caribou range from Newfoundland in eastern and central Canada and below the tree line.

Labrador - Quebec Caribou: Range of northern Quebec and Labrador

Central Barren Ground Caribou: Range is mainland Northwest Territories and Nunavut

Mountain Caribou: Range Mackenzie district, the southern Yukon and northern British Columbia

Barren Ground Caribou: Range of northern Yukon and Alaska
