Mountain Lion Cougar Taxidermy Mounts
Mountain Lions are called by so many different names including
Mountain Lion, Panther, Cougar even Puma but it is still the same
animal.
Easily the largest of the North American cats.
While it is native to the Americans it has a massive range from
the Yukon in Canada all the way to the south American Andes.
The difference between a Panther and a Cougar is that Panthers
are typically found in Africa and Asia and parts of America.
Panthers are often the only darker colored of the cats such as
with Leopard and Jaguars, which are obviously not the same.
Cougars are considered a unique species all unto themselves for
many of these reasons.
As of this time of posting Mountain Lion Cougar hunting in some
type or another is allowed in many of the lower 48 states of the USA
including; Nebraska, Utah, Montana, Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado,
Texas, Nevada, North and South Dakota, Oregon, and Washington.
But be sure to research all rules, regulations, license purchase
and/or drawing information. Do it early in the year starting January
to be safe. |
